Coursework Degrees

At the Graduate School of the Environment we understand that students enrolled in postgraduate coursework programs are often required to continue full-time employment while they study for their postgraduate qualification.

Our postgraduate coursework programs are designed to be flexible, with most units running in the evening or in block mode. Check out the range of programs available and follow the links for relevant contact details to gain more information on these programs.

Postgraduate coursework degrees can result in three different types of accreditation: Masters, Postgraduate Diploma, or Postgraduate Certificate.

Masters programs

The GSE offers a suite of specialist named Masters programs for those who want to study a specific area in more depth, as well as a more general Master of Environmental Studies which allows students to choose from a broad range of elective units.

Postgraduate Diploma programs

Postgraduate Diplomas allow students to broaden their learning by undertaking compulsory core units, expanding their knowledge and skills into wider study of the environment.

Postgraduate Certificate programs

Postgraduate Certificates are primarily for those people who may already be employed in an environmental field and who want to gain expertise in a specific area. They are targeted, specialist programs of short duration and are closely focussed on the knowledge and skills needed by a well-defined group of professionals.
