DolphinMarine Mammal Research Group

The MMRG was established in 1997 at Macquarie University. Since its inception the research of the MMRG has focused on promoting a better understanding of many aspects of the behaviour and ecology of marine mammals and other higher marine vertebrates such as seabirds, turtles and sharks.

Our interests within the MMRG have grown conceptually along with our team, and our interests have diverged accordingly. Projects range from question oriented research in animal behaviour, ecology, genetics and evolution, through to applied research directed by conservation, fisheries and management needs.
