Research Interests
Ros Taplin's research focuses on environmental management and policymaking issues related to environmental sustainability and climate change. Her interests include:
- Environmental policy and politics: ecological modernization; new environmental policy instruments; voluntary environmental agreements.
- International policy on climate change: science and policy interaction; developing country involvement including Pacific Island developing countries; Australia's role in negotiations.
- Climate change impacts and adaptation: climate impacts and adaptation assessment methods; climate change and insurance.
- Domestic greenhouse policy in Australia: policy development; corporate emissions management.
- Sustainable energy policy: implementation of renewable energy policy in developing countries and CDM under the Kyoto Protocol.
- Forest policy, water quality policy and air quality policy.
- Euducation for Sustainability
- Sustainable cities policy.
